What HooDoo stores
HooDoo stores your alarm list, dates, times, sounds and volumes on your device. Mobile apps also schedule active alarms with the phone so they can ring after you leave the app. The website and desktop list survives a reload, but you must tap Resume saved alarms to reactivate browser audio. Past alarms missed while the page was closed are kept in the list and switched off.
Your recordings
Create your own uses your microphone only when you tap Start recording. Recordings stop at 30 seconds and stay on this device: in browser storage on the website, and private app storage on mobile. A new recording replaces the old one only when you save it. Clearing site data or uninstalling the app removes your recordings.
What HooDoo sends
The website alarm interface has no advertising, analytics, tracking pixels, or cloud alarm database. Installed apps offer an optional HooDoo account for purchases and referrals. It does not upload your alarm settings or recordings, or request your contacts, location, or camera. Audio and icons are bundled with the app.
Mobile app advertising
The free native mobile app includes Google AdMob banner ads. This development version uses Google test ads, requests non-personalized ads, and does not request tracking permission. The ad SDK communicates with Google and can process device, network, and ad-interaction information. Recordings are not sent to the ad provider. A verified one-time $4.99 lifetime purchase removes ads across Windows, Mac, Android and iPhone. Eligible inviters can purchase for $1.99. Accounts and checkout are disabled until configuration is complete. Desktop development banners do not contact an advertising network. See Google’s privacy policy.
Optional accounts and purchases
When configured, verified email accounts use Supabase Auth. HooDoo stores your account ID, purchase verification records and referral attribution on its server. Lemon Squeezy handles desktop checkout; Google Play and Apple handle native store payments. Payment card details stay with the payment provider. Purchase ownership can be restored on the four apps using the same account. Your alarm list and recordings are not uploaded. Account sessions use protected operating-system storage, and signed purchase receipts support offline ad-free access.
Website hosting
When you use the website, the hosting provider receives normal web request information such as your IP address and browser information. Private previews may require the hosting provider's sign-in. Its privacy terms govern those hosting and authentication services. Installing the native mobile app does not require a hosting account.
Permissions
Recording a custom sound requires microphone permission. The website can request a screen wake lock while an alarm is armed. Android uses alarm scheduling, notification, foreground audio, and wake permissions. iPhone uses AlarmKit permission to schedule alarms. You can revoke permissions in your device settings.
Removing your settings
Clear the website's site data or uninstall the mobile app to remove local settings. Cancel an active alarm in HooDoo before uninstalling. If you create an optional account once enabled, uninstalling does not delete the server-side account or purchase records. Contact the published support channel for account deletion and retention details. Account and payment activation requires that support channel and a deletion workflow to be configured first.
Third-party links
Sound-credit and store links open third-party services, which have their own privacy policies.
Support
For this preview, contact the person who provided you with HooDoo. Published mobile editions will include the developer's verified support contact on their store listings.
